California Riverside

August 15th.

So many blessings were heaved upon me today and I am on cloud nine right now.
Of course its California. Why would it be anywhere else?
It fits.
Yes.
That makes perfect sense.

 I cant tell you how much my head and my soul are screaming "sqwweeeee!"

Grandpas GG's Highlight video

Dont judge me on my video making skills with this. 

It was a quick & easy / very shaky video. 

We just wanted something to give to my grandma at the end of all this & I am so excited to show her.

After the funeral we pulled out all of my grandma's photo albums looking for more pictures of my grandpa and found some gems of my mom's family. These make me wish I had grown up in that era. 


Get ready because I went a little crazy with these.

Is it weird calling it a 'good' day when you attended a funeral?

Because today was good.

A lot of goodness in my life.

Being here in person and not across the country was an amazing feeling.

And as much as I love skype and wouldn't have made it in NY without it, 

I forgot that it doesn't replace this feeling.

I love being with my family,

& am so grateful that I got to say goodbye to my grandpa in person.

 

also,

seeing these two made the world feel right again.

& with a calm heart, I take a deep breath & keep moving.

If I could take my whole NY experience and wrap it up into one big ball of goodness, it would look something like this-

rooftop goodbye party

My friend Aubrey threw me a going away party tonight on her rooftop -
one of the best spots in the city (previously viewed here, here, and here)


I know I've said this many times before, but I really REALLY do mean it this time-
I don't know how it will be possible for my heart to feel any more full than it does right now. I love this family I've made here.
